Steven
Spielberg, Oliver Stone, Anthony Quinn, Arnold Schwarzenegger, John
Lennon, Dominick Dunne, Martin Landau, Norman Mailer and Ann-Margret
are just a few of the personalities Kathy Amerman has photographed during
the last 28 years.
Originally
from Baltimore, Maryland, Kathy moved to Los Angeles in the early 70s,
first to pursue an acting career. Soon she appeared in national television
commercials and feature films before deciding she felt more at home
on the other side of the camera.
It wasn't
long before she was photographing everyone from pin-ups to politicians.
Her photographs began appearing in magazines around the world and at
home in Time, Newsweek, Playboy and The New Yorker.
Now an
active SGI Buddhist and animal activist, Kathy shares her Woodland Hills
home wither her husband, filmmaker and writer, Lawrence Schiller, and
the couple's three rescued dogs.
